Marriage Counseling

Keith and I have begun making our way through this workbook. Our topic this weekend centered around our childhood and asked us to identify things we witnessed in our parents' marriages that left both positive and negative impacts on our individual concepts of marriage. Interestingly, we grew up in polar opposite households. It was a lot of fun to talk about the way our parents handled their differences, and seeing how strong each of our parents were at one time or another is really inspiring. It was very sweet to hear Keith talk about what a great spiritual leader of the household his dad is.

Our familial differences sure do impact our created families don't they!

Okay, this must be some kind of sign-- (jk) but my husband and I were talking this weekend and saying that we really wanted to THRIVE together, not just know how to survive together...and here you are posting a book with that same wording in it's title...heading to the library--looks great!
