The interesting thing about Daniel is that he learns so much from his big brother and big sister, that he does a lot of stuff his little 2-year-old buddies don't do. I meant to post about this yesterday, but time just got away from me. Yesterday, the kids were cleaning their rooms and Joshua made his bed, so Daniel made his bed. Then Joshua was pulling clothes out of the closet to get dressed, and then Daniel did the same. He actually did a pretty good job of dressing himself, too. Just has trouble with the socks. Somehow watching Daniel put on socks is like watching a pregnant lady try to put on socks, he grunts and groans, and it's the funniest thing ever.
After lunch today, Daniel saw the other kids put their cups in the sink, so he followed right in line. Then he went into the bathroom and got out his toothbrush and toothpaste. Even though he made quite a mess, it was still a pretty good effort for just being nearly 2 and 1/2 .
He's just been in a bit of a copy-cat mode the past couple of days and it's been funny to watch. Somethings I have to be careful with, he did get a hold of my chapstick and smear it all over his face "just like Mommy". He also has this new facination with calling Joshua "Wa-wa". It's his own little pet-name for Joshua.
