Snow, snow, snow!

Sunday morning I looked out the kitchen window (see part of the view of the porch below), and decided that I wasn't going to be driving to church. So instead, I enjoyed a nice hot cup of tea before the kids got up, and did about 2 hours worth of homework.
Then, at around 10am, I dressed everyone and took them outside to play. They had a blast!
Megan used the rolled up sled and sand pail to make snow "cakes". She also thought she would help Daddy shovel the driveway, but she managed to dump quite a bit of snow back into the driveway.

The boys got pretty busy digging in the big snow drifts. Joshua was digging out a swimming pool - can you tell we've been looking at houses in Florida! He's not on his knees, he's actually standing in the snow and it's up to his waste. Daniel is so light, he walks on the snow. However, there were a few spots that he sunk down in and he would yell, "help, I stuck".

Daniel was enjoying being tossed into this big soft snow mound beside our house. He'd sail through the air and then land with a plop and make a big Daniel sized hole in the snowbank.

Joshua stood up on the snow mound and was peeking into our livingroom windows. Then he decided to lay down and watch the clouds. It was amazing to see how beautiful the sky was for it being the day after a blizzard.
