Shades of Green

Keith and I spent the weekend away at the Shades of Green resort located on Walt Disney World property. We had a really good time. Upon arriving at the SoG, we were greeted by the beautiful flags flying overhead at the entrance of the main building.
Our room was very large for just the two of us.
The view from our room was amazing. On our check-out day, we sat on the balcony and watched a few golfers play. Every morning there were wild turkeys running around on the golf course.
Off the main lobby was a set of stairs to descend to the bus area. We've decided that staying on Disney property is definitely the way to go when it is time to take the kids to the theme parks. It was nice to just ride on over in the bus and not deal with the hectic parking lots. The SoG is located directly across from the Disney's Polynesian Resort. The monorail stop is at the Polynesian, so if we didn't feel like taking the bus, we'd take a short walk across the street and hop on a monorail.

The lobby was very beautiful.

Here's a shot of the turkeys on the golf course.
While walking to the pool one afternoon, Keith stopped me from accidentally stepping on this guy.
A beautiful view of the back grounds of the resort. The resort has two pools - one more for swimming laps, and one more for relaxing. The relaxing pool is in the shape of Mickey's head.
Overall, it was a nice place to stay. It was a very inexpensive way to stay on Disney property during peak season.

I havent stayed at that resort. We have stayed at Wilderness Lodge and the one that looks like Mardi Gras, I cant remember the name of it. But they are all so wonderful. There is nothing like Disney World!

So glad you had fun!
